Bangalore University (BU) is one of the oldest and renowned university of India, It is a public university Located in the Karnataka state.
In terms of potential for excellence it lies in the top 10 Universities in India under the Guidelines of UGC.
Bangalore university was started in the British rule in 1886.The Central College & University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) constituted the original institutions in the name of this university.
Bangalore University is structured into all the major six faculties Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, Education, Law and Engineering. It has round about 41 post-graduate departments, and the Bangalore University also offers 51 Post-graduate courses.
The current Vice Chancellor is Dr. H.A. Ranganath.
